Hi my name is Ryan Sweeney aka Ry Ry on this page you will find interviews with bands and random events that take place in my life. This is also a place for drug and alcohol abuse, addiction and recovery. believe in change and don't lose faith. "wealth is weighed in spirit."
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
So in the past I have watched people I know personally or just from being at shows die due to addiction and depression among other things. This does not need to be your reality if you struggle with these life issues reach out for help. I am personally always willing to talk to anyone about these things.
If you think it’s soft or whatever to ask for help you are mistaken it will probably be one of the hardest things you will do in life. It goes against a lot of what we are taught growing up in and out of the hardcore scene.
Not all of us are lucky enough to be able to just walk away from things even if we want to. This doesn’t make you a weak person. Drug/alcohol addiction and depression effect people differently and for some it it’s just not that simple
I don’t claim to have all the answers but I do know I have lived a life of drug/alcohol addiction and depression to the point of attempting suicide and I’m still here, sober and happy as I have ever been so I offer my hand to anyone who feels like that can’t escape that way of life.

Yes I was going to make flyers and even had @paradisefears give me the ok to use some of their lyrics but the person who was going to design them is super busy so I need to find someone else
I love this idea very much and would once again need the help of people in each city to help with that as I do not know a lot of local bands in other areas but yes I am very open to the idea
Hey everyone I have this idea to do a DIY (do it yourself) mini speaking tour ! Since traveling is not cheap I need to know if people would be into something like that
I will bring shirts, bracelets and stickers to sell I would also be taking donations
But the event it self will be free
I am thinking of doing Philly, Buffalo somewhere in CT somewhere in NJ and NYC and maybe some other close by places
This is where I need your help I would need a spot to hold the event Maybe a park or someone’s house etc etc
I would need you to help spread the word
What will be going on at these events you ask?
Well I would share my story of drug/alcohol addiction and than we would have an open discussion about life struggles, hope, how to help others and how music effects our lives also a Q&A
I would like this to happen in the end of may early June when I get home from costa rica so in order to get this going I need feed back
so yeah hit me up and lets make this happen
